Sense of the enterprise

Our overarching purpose is to make as large and meaningful a contribution as possible to the security of the electricity supply and thus ensure the sustainability of the energy transition.

Mission statement

What we are committed to:

Our children and grandchildren have a right to an intact ecological, social and economic environment. Meeting the needs of the current generation without jeopardizing the opportunities of future generations is known as sustainability. A sustainability strategy includes, among other things, the consistent replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energies. To this end, the conversion of the energy system must be continued step by step so that primary energy consumption in Germany can be covered by renewable energies (as quickly as possible). This goal is fundamentally linked to the successful implementation of a smart grid. This places technical demands on generation units and systems as well as their networking with storage systems, grid equipment and consumers. Enjoyment and satisfaction at work are important to us. We are committed to secure jobs with good working conditions.

What we bring to the table:

Our main activity is the electrotechnical certification, measurement and inspection of electricity generators based on renewable energies. We test the extent to which they are able to guarantee system stability in the electricity grids and provide grid-supporting properties. In addition to the certification of renewables, we also focus our certification, testing and measurement work on developments such as storage, combined heat and power and bidirectional charging. We are also involved in the standardization of know-how as part of extensive guideline activities. This ensures that the energy transition can be successfully implemented in Germany, Europe and worldwide. Competence and experience are at the heart of our activities. Our commitment is the driving force behind the economic success of the energy transition and therefore of our customers. Since the introduction of the guidelines for the certification of generation plants in Germany in 2009, M.O.E. has accompanied their implementation and has developed into one of the market leaders1) in the field of certification of electrical properties of decentralized generation plants in a very short time. In the meantime, a broad range of services has emerged, which is constantly being further developed in a customer-oriented manner. Our employees contribute a wealth of experience and are available to our customers as competent and reliable contacts. 1) Source: FGW e.V. – Fördergesellschaft Windenergie und andere Dezentrale Energien (FGW) Survey on the effectiveness of certification in combination with our published certificates, which can be found at https://moe-service.com/referenzen/nationale-projekte/ of M.O.E., results in a market share in turbine certification of around 25%, making us one of the market leaders in the field of turbine certification A as of 2023.
