Photovoltaics

Photovoltaics is making an important contribution to the successful implementation of the energy transition in Germany. Not least tendering procedures show that this form of energy can be used economically. M.O.E. would like to support its customers in all technological issues relating to photovoltaics so that they can continue on their chosen path safely and in compliance with the grid.

For manufacturers

As early as the development phase, M.O.E. offers manufacturers of PV inverters type testing on behalf of the series in the course of unit certification. With the unit certificate, the product is ready for the market and can be successfully marketed. Complete unit certification also includes model validation, which simulates the behavior of the inverter on the grid. In addition, M.O.E. prepares the corresponding component certificates for manufacturers of generation system components, e.g. parking controllers or protection devices.

For project planners

The NELEV and VDE-AR-N 4110:2018 require operators of PV generation systems larger than 135 kW with a medium-voltage connection to submit a system certificate(A or B) to their responsible energy supply company. The system certificate assures you and your grid operator that your system is operated in conformity with the grid and thus guarantees you a permanent grid connection and permanent remuneration. The certificate verifies all requirements from the grid connection guidelines with regard to the electrical properties of your generation system. The certification process is completed with the issue of the declaration of conformity.

For operators

Protection testing is part of the complete testing of a photovoltaic system, not only when commissioning a PV system, but also at regular intervals. This usually takes place both at the transfer point to the grid operator and at the inverters or a higher-level protective device, for example at a transformer station. The protection test can also be part of the “periodic inspection”. Details can be found on the pages of our inspection body.
