Unit certification

As a manufacturer of a generation unit on the medium, high and extra-high voltage grid, you are subject to mandatory certification in Germany in accordance with BDEW MSR 2008 and TC 2007. The basis for system certification is the type testing of the units on behalf of the series. As an accredited certification body, we are able to test your generation unit for compliance with the following guidelines and grid codes:

  • BDEW Medium Voltage Guideline 2008
  • VDE-AR-N 4105 (generation systems on the low-voltage grid)

  • VDE-AR-N 4110 (TAR medium voltage)

  • VDE-AR-N 4120 (TAB High Voltage)
  • FGW TR3 / TR4 / TR8
  • Various European grid codes (e.g. England, Spain, Turkey, Romania)

As a certification body with many years of experience in the field of unit and system certification, we are at your side with direct contacts throughout the entire certification process. We are happy to support you in your search for a suitable measuring institute and in drawing up the most suitable test plan for your project. Our experts also have experience in the field of system certification, which is a prerequisite for a high-quality unit certificate.
